Sella - a village of Fiestas
Every year a different group of young people  run the year´s Fiesta events - culminating in the 5 days of gunpowder, eating and drinking around the first Sunday in October - our main Fiesta in honour of the Divina Aurora ( that´s her below, being carried from the church.) Every special event can give rise to a party here - Christmas , New Year ( of course!) Saint Barbara in December, Carnival in the Spring,  a whole Cultural week in August, the annual Water Batle one day in summer ( 8 thousand litres of Sella  water is provided - if you go into the main square you get soaked, no excuses!). In the Fiesta itself, the day kicks off with fireworks, rockets and music before 8.00 a.m. and the big danceband starts at midnight and winds up about 5 or 6 in the morning.
